Debdutta Bhattacharjee is Assistant Editor at Plane Vanilla. He is a product of Hindu College (Delhi University) and Delhi School of Economics and has varied experience in journalism, having worked for frontline media organisations like Firstpost (Network18), The Economic Times, India Today Group, Asianet News and IANS among others. He had also been a part of FICCI. He has over 200 published articles covering subjects from politics to economy and sports to aviation. He has also translated the book 'Dynasty to Democracy: The Untold Story of Smriti Irani's Triumph' from Hindi to English. He has interviewed among others, personalities like ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh; Olympic medallist Vijender Singh; Dr Ahmed Albanna, the Ambassador of UAE to India; Kenji Hiramatsu, former Ambassador of Japan to India; former ISRO chief K Kasturirangan; Dronacharya awardee Sanjay Bhardwaj; table tennis star Manika Batra; Asian Games medallist Harish Kumar; chess guru Frederic Friedel; and the all-women Air India pilot team that made history by flying over the North Pole on India's longest route. He has also done numerous live shows with noted sports journalist Ayaz Memon.
